Hoping to post........and Jazakallah

Assalamo alaikum warahamatullahi wabara katuhu,

Just wanted let all of you know that I do have Ramadan plans for age 7-9 and 10 - teens  that I have been wanting to post. I have been unable to do so due to some health issues. Beidhnillah ... I hope to post them before Ramadan. If not ?  Well.... Qadrallah! Like I said in an earlier post we make our plans and Allah makes His plans and He is the Best of Planners......Subhanallah

Please remember me in your duas if you can... May Allah grant me speedy recovery and enable me to regain my health so I can try and carry out my Ramadan Plans with my family (to seek Allah's pleasure) to the best of my ability or as my health allows Inshallah. (Please don't worry it's nothing major ALHUMDOLLILLAH) Life is not always as perfect as it seems on blogs..... and that makes it more precious and humbling for us. Plus the imperfections and the stumbling makes us strive harder Alhumdolillah! That is the Mercy of Allah We are only human and have our limitations.

Jazakallaho khairun kathirah to all of you who read my blog, who leave comments full of support, duas and kind words, who like the ideas and resources shared, or who visit and revisit the blog as per their need .

May Allah keep my intentions pure and accept my  efforts. Ameen

Ramadan Sensory Tub

I am trying to create the Ramadan hype in our home. Part of that is our latest Ramadan Sensory Tub. I just had a brain wave and got into action as soon as I could by the blessings of Allah.

Last night I started to make prayer mats, kufi and hijab for the tub. My Lil Muallims got really excited seeing those... wondering what they were for. My two lil ones even lid down the prayer mat and and held the kufi on their heads and made sujood saying: "Look I did it! I made the smallest sajdah ever!"

Today I finished it up. The idea is to get to talk about Ramadan and what we should with it.
  • crescent moon and masjid with shiny card stock
  • two prayer mats
  • a hijab and kufi
  • a date wrapped in cling wrap
  • an empty wooden case of a very tiny Quran
  • coins to show we should give Zakat
  • a small canvas frame with "Allah" on it to discuss dhikr, remebrance of Allah and being concsious of Allah at all times

When I introduced it to Lil Mualliamh. We got to discuss quite a few things Alhumdollilah! I can see how her understanding of things can be enhanced by each time we go through the sensory tub Inshallah....especially the importance and need of Dhikr and Zakah.

All my Lil Muallims really liked the Sensory tub and the older ones found it very cute.
